The act of perception is the key subject of my art practice. Elastic borders shaping inner and outer reality, subjective experiences that emerge and take place out of nothing are important to me. These emotional intangible events and encounters such as love, loss, unknowability of another human being, passage of time are the most potent themes to my work. Such untouchable, unnamable but overwhelmingly present experiences are powerful stimulus for my visual images and narratives.

Today the notion of a parallel reality receives a different meaning in the world transformed by globalization and technological hyper connectedness . I experience the contemporary world as an aggressive force : consumerism, indifference and liberal capitalism’s drive to success, expansion and productivity dominates.

My practice is very personal, almost like an autobiographical abstraction. It is informed by my life, my everyday reality, tourism, the place I live and the people I meet who reveal themselves in the process of taking part in my work and even my fascination of cultivating my garden in the countryside as a form of land art.

My work is about being in the moment and the simultaneous connection between the present and the past. Suddenly an answer comes in a visual form – a new explanation for something I have been long contemplating.

The artistic techniques are flexible and respond to what I want to name at this particular moment. They range from photography, sound, film, video, documentary and performance.
